NQ KIDZLINK PRAYER DIARY
Monday 1st Pray for Janet and the kidsplus leaders at Whitsunday Anglican School in Mackay. Give thanks for their commitment to run their programmes after a full day at work.
Tuesday 2nd As Parishes hold their Annual meetings, let them be aware of making provision for ministries for children and youth.
Wednesday 3rd In this world where there is so much ‘instant’ entertainment, we give thanks for the varied, interesting and fun programmes that we are able to offer to young people and which they enjoy.
Thursday 4th Give thanks for the children’s ministry being conducted at St Charles Parish in West Mackay.
Friday 5th We pray for Anne Watkins, Diocesan President of MU and for her executive team as they consider the structure of MU in the Diocese.
Saturday 6th Give thanks for the support that many members give to women’s shelters throughout the Diocese. Pray for the women in these places.
Sunday 7th I prayed, ‘Have pity Lord! Heal me, though I have sinned against you.’ (Psalm 41:4)
Monday 8th Pray for Don and Carolynn and the Children’s Ministry Team offering “Mainly Music” programmes for children at St Margaret’s, West Cairns and for their outreach to the Northern Beaches.
Tuesday 9th (Shrove Tuesday) Pray for Townsend Members Dorothy, Margaret, Evelyn, Viv and Daphne from Townsville.
Wednesday 10th (Ash Wednesday) As we begin this season of Lent, let us enter the desert places with you and help us to learn to depend only on you.
Thursday 11th Give thanks for the work of the Mission to Seafarers and Graham and the volunteers who run the Flying Angel club in Townsville.
Friday 12th Pray for all those who are ill. May they be restored to full health in body, mind and spirit.
Saturday 13th Pray for Townsend members Anne and Margie from Townsville.
Sunday 14th (St Valentine Day) ‘God will bless everyone who is invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.’ (Revelation 19:9)
Monday 15th Pray for St Peter’s West End kidsplus as they meet tonight. May they learn more about God’s love for them.
Tuesday 16th Give thanks for Lenten Study Groups being held in Parishes throughout the Diocese. Pray for enthusiastic participation by all members.
Wednesday 17th Pray for Indigenous communities throughout North Queensland. Give thanks for the ongoing ministry to children and youth in these communities.
Thursday 18th Give thanks for the work that Anglicare NQ are doing in the Diocese, particularly for their work with young women.
Friday 19th Give thanks and pray for the members of the Diocesan Executive of kidslink NQ, who give up precious time so willingly.
Saturday 20th Pray for the parents of the children who come to our kidsplus groups. Give thanks that they are willing to bring their children to learn about Jesus.
Sunday 21st From the cloud a voice said, ‘This is my Son, and I love him. Listen to what he says.’ (Mark 9:7)
Monday 22nd Give thanks that so many Parishes are members of kidslink NQ and that many have sought resources for use in children’s ministry.
Tuesday 23rd Pray for Parishes where there are no active children’s and youth ministries. Help them to gain a sense of commitment to share the love of Jesus with the young people in their areas.
Wednesday 24th (St Matthias) Pray for Dway, Leeza and Susan and the Children’s Ministry Team running children’s groups at All Saints Parish in Ayr. Give thanks for their ongoing commitment in that place.
Thursday 25th We pray for all hospital Chaplains, especially as they minister to children and their families.
Friday 26th Pray for Jennifer, Barbara, Jenny and Anne, kidsplus leaders at St Peter’s Branch, West End. Give thanks for their continued ministry in that Parish.
Saturday 27th Pray for GFS members at Murray Island in the Torres Straits as they live out our motto to “Bear one another’s burdens”.
Sunday 28th Jesus answered, ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!’ (Luke 4:8)
Monday 29th Pray for children we know who may have disabilities and pray that we can provide ministry to them despite the difficulties.
